Abstract

Existen un sinfín de lecturas sobre El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha como ediciones se han realizado de este clásico entre los clásicos. Frente al caudal de las ediciones del Quijote, hay una que es considerada por el autor de este ensayo como la más próxima a las intenciones literarias del autor, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, y esa es, precisamente, la de Francisco Rico a la cual se acoge con una fiebre de lector acucioso, Adolfo Castañón para descifrarnos los diversos senderos atemporales que la novela evoca, los recursos literarios que Cervantes construyó e hizo permanentes y las anécdotas y personajes perdidos en la locura de un tiempo real y de un tiempo imaginario, abanderada por el de la Triste Figura.
