Abstract

Gran parte de las aplicaciones educativas de las modernas Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TICs) se apoyan en estándares internacionales para la distribución de contenidos audiovisuales. Sin embargo no todos los profesores e instituciones educativas poseen los recursos y conocimientos necesarios para el adecuado aprovechamiento de tecnologías para la generación de material educativo en audio y video, en buena medida por la diversidad de formatos, las limitaciones de transmisión, almacenamiento y recuperación y las características de acceso de los estudiantes a los materiales. Este artículo revisa las principales herramientas, tanto de uso libre como de procedencia comercial, que son cada vez más empleados por instituciones en todo el mundo para generar y compartir contenidos a través de los más diversos medios de comunicación y también expone las tendencias en las tecnologías de comunicación audiovisual.

Great part of the educative applications of the modern Technologies of the Information and Communication (Tics) lean in international standards for the distribution of audio-visual contents. Nevertheless all the professors and educative institutions do not have the necessary resources and knowledge for the suitable advantage of technologies for the generation of audio educative material in and video, largely by the diversity of formats, the limitations of transmission, storage and recovery and the characteristics of access of the students to the materials. This article reviews the main tools, as much of free use as of commercial origin, that more and more are used by institutions anywhere in the world to generate and to share contents through diverse mass media and also exposes the tendencies in the technologies of audio-visual communication.
