El texto plantea un panorama de dos personajes típicos de los libros de caballerías: el caballero andante y la doncella guerrera. Explora la necesidad de salir de la corte de ambos personajes y cómo en el camino evolucionan y aprenden lo necesario para obtener fama y honra. Por sus atributos definitorios, entre los cuales la movilidad es esencial, el caballero andante y la doncella guerrera han resultado sumamente atractivos para lectores de todas las épocas.

This article presents a survey on two important characters in Spanish chivalric romance: the errant knight and the virgo bellatrix. The text is focused on the desire for departure and travel of these two characters, and the adventures that come with it, that will finally end in glory and knowledge for both of them. The aspects that define these characters make them very attractive figures for readers of all times because of the universal values and feelings that they represent.
