Breve homenaje a Julio Cortázar

Abstract

A 25 años de su muerte, este ensayo celebra y cerebra la presencia del escritor argentino en el ciberespacio, específicamente en You Tube, como una continuidad del diálogo cortazariano entre el autor y el lector. Entre los videoclips que de muchas y variadas maneras le rinden tributo a Cortázar, se subrayan los que han llegado a You Tube desde formatos anteriores (la televisión, la película documental), así como los cortometrajes basados en los cuentos. De la imagen viva de Cortázar en la pantalla, se aborda la interioridad que se establece al escuchar la voz del escritor que lee un pasaje romántico de su propia literatura. Para no privilegiar la voz sobre la imagen, el ensayo plantea haber encontrado el momento más íntimo de Cortázar frente a la cámara: cuando, por un instante, a través del escritos, vemos al ser humano en su vulnerabilidad inapelable

At 25 years since his death, this essay celebrates and cerebrates the presence of the Argentine writer in cyberspace, specifically in YouTube, as a continuity of the Cortazar-ian dialogue between the author and the reader. Among the video clips that in many and different ways pay tribute to Cortázar, we underscore those that have reached YouTube from previous formats (television, the documentary film), as well as the short movies based on his stories. From Cortázar’s full-fledged live image in front of the screen, we move to the intimacy established by listening to the voice of the writer reading a romantic passage from his own literature. To avoid giving the voice undue preference over the image, the essay claims to have found Cortázar’s most intimate moment in front of the camera: when, for a second, through the writer, we catch a glimpse of the human being in its unavoidable vulnerability
