La era digital: valor y uso de las nuevas tecnologías educativas

Abstract

Las nuevas tecnologías deben servir como plataforma para incorporar la educación a la sociedad, más no como meta para transmitir una ideología particular que delimite las capacidades del individuo en función de una mayor demanda de recursos técnicos. Si esto no nos queda claro desde el principio, ocurre lo que ha venido sucediendo en nuestro país, donde sin una cultura sólida de los valores educativos (educative values), de pronto se han incorporado nuevas herramientas a los sistemas de enseñanza tradicionales, a lo cual nos preguntamos ¿Cuántos profesores y maestros realmente se encuentran capacitados para estos cambios? ¿Cuántos conocen y utilizan las ventajas de estas otras herramientas de un modo adecuado?Es difícil pensar entonces que aun no estamos preparados para la era digital, (he was digital) pero también por otro lado es casi imposible la concepción de un futuro en las escuelas sin estas mejoras tecnológicas.
