La ciudad jardín vertical torre biónica: una bio-estructura sostenible

Abstract

El proyecto de la Ciudad Jardín Vertical Torre Biónica nació como resultado de un ambicioso trabajo de investigación, iniciado por Cervera & Pioz a principios de los años 90, que trataba de explorar las posibilidades que ofrecía la aplicación de la ciencia Biónica a la Arquitectura. Los resultados obtenidos del estudio de las estructuras naturales y su traslación al campo de la construcción edificatoria hicieron posible el nacimiento de un nuevo modelo de estructura vertical que permite superar la tipología conocida como rascacielos y dar lugar al nuevo concepto de Ciudad Vertical. La Ciudad-Jardín Vertical Torre Biónica no es, pues, un rascacielos, sino un espacio urbano que se desarrolla en vertical, de manera similar a como la ciudad se desarrolla en horizontal. Por ello se concibe como espacio abierto con un protagonismo de los vacíos y lugares comunes al exterior, poniendo fin al modelo de “caja de cristal” con pisos repetidos prototípico de la tipología de rascacielos. Se ha cuestionado en muchas ocasiones a los rascacielos por su falta de escala humana y por su gran altura, que nos “despega” de la tierra, sin embargo, el problema no está tan sólo en su tamaño, sino en el modelo. Era, pues, imprescindible, generar una innovadora propuesta, a caballo entre lo arquitectónico y lo urbano, que fuera una construcción vertical segura y humanizada, y donde el espacio interior tuviera un gran protagonismo, enmarcando de modo satisfactorio la actividad de los ciudadanos

The project of the City Vertical Garden Bionic Tower was born as resulting from an ambitious work of investigation, initiated by Cervera & Pioz at the beginning of the years 90, that tried to explore the possibilities that the application of Bionic science offered to the Architecture. The obtained results of the study of the natural structures and their transfering to the field of the construction edificatoria made the birth possible of a new model of vertical structure that allows to surpass the well-known tipología like skyscraper and to give rise to the new concept of Vertical City. The Vertical City-Garden Bionic Tower is not, then, a skyscraper, but an urban space that is developed in vertical, of way similar to as the city is developed in horizontal. For that reason one conceives like space opened with a protagonism of the emptinesses and common places to the outside, putting aim to the model of “crystal box” with repeated floors prototípico of the tipología of skyscraper. It has been questioned in many occasions to the skyscrapers by his lack of human scale and by its high altitude, that “takes off to us” of the Earth, nevertheless, the problem is not only in its size, but in the model. It was, then, essential, to generate an innovator propose, to horse between architectonic and the urban thing, that outside a safe and humanized vertical construction, and where the near space had the great protagonism, framing of satisfactory way the activity of the citizens
